My sister did something similar with her little one, Alivia. She used a stuffed animal. We thought it would be appropriate to use something more boyish! 
We took him to the dr. for a 1 month check up. Here are his stats:8'10"
22 inches long
The Dr. said that he is looking great. He's eating every 4 hours (give or take 1 hour some days). He sleeps pretty well at night. We get him to bed around 11 pm and he'll sleep until 3 or 4 am. Then he's up at 7am with the rest of the kiddos.
This was the cutest thing. I heard Mayci in reading a book to what I thought was herself the other morning. When I checked on her, I saw her showing the pictures to Cooper and telling him the story. What is so cool about this is that Kenzie did the exact same thing when Mayci was about 2 months old. 
I can't wait to see how he grows and changes in this next month. I'd be ok if he slowed down a little. It makes me sad to think that he's already 1 month old. I love this part of having a baby. Yes, I am tired- ALOT!! It's worth it though. The snuggling, the smells, the learning and experiencing new things, the smiles while they sleep and the smiles from the older kids reacting to his faces and sounds. It's all so precious and doesn't last long enough for me!!

Great posts Ris!! It is very bitter sweet to see our babies getting bigger! I love the baseball mit, it is perfect! :) Mayci is so cute to read to Cooper...what a doll!!
