Friends and Memories

We had such a fun weekend in April. We were lucky enough to have David and Heidi come over to visit for the weekend. They came Friday night and went home Sunday after church.

Saturday morning the boys left early to make it to Braydon's games in Idaho Falls. The girls took a little bit longer to get ready but Heidi had a fun craft to do with the girls while we got ready that morning. Before starting the craft though, the girls played Heidi a song they made up. Madison and Kenzie love making up songs on the piano.
Heidi brought lots of colored wrapping tissue and string. I'm not sure what they are called but she put lots of the tissue together and tied the middle of the bunch together. Then she pulled the layers apart and fluffed them. The end result made for some fun decorations for the girls to put in their rooms!

The one on the right was their first try. They found out that they needed more than 6 pieces of tissues to make it work.

All us girls made it to the last 10 minutes of Braydon's first game and then we headed to Sam's club for a nutritous lunch- hot dogs and pizza!! While we were there, we bought us a sportsbrella to cut down on the wind while we watched the 2nd game. It was a lifesaver!!! We stayed so much more warm under that. With the sun shining, the games were pretty enjoyable!

We (David, Heidi, Justin and I) were planning to go to the 2nd Chance Prom that night but by the time we got home from games (the second game went into double overtime), we barely had time to come home and drop off kids and head to dinner with another couple. We chose to just go to dinner and skip the dance this year. Next year we'll have to plan better. We had a great time just hanging out with a movie and visiting.

We just love when we get the chance to spend the weekend with such great friends. My kids just love David and Heidi also and talk about them quite often. We look forward to the next time they get to come this way!
