Bingo for Books

A few weeks ago my kids really wanted to go to the Bingo night at the school. The reason, they would get a new book. I was very excited about going but they were feeding the kids hotdogs (free) and who can turn down a new book. So, we went. They had not very appetizing hotdogs, chips and chocolate milk and icecream. It's a good thing we ate some dinner before we headed over. The favorites from the kids were the icecream and chocolate milk.

They had a table full of books for the kids to choose from when they got bingo. My girls were over at the table for about 10 minutes planning which book to choose when they got bingo. They had their book picked out and then we started the bingo. It wasn't the best way to do bingo. They called numbers out until someone got a bingo. Once you got bingo, you would go to the table and pick out your book. They called numbers out until everyone got bingo. My 2 girls were very worried that their book would be picked. It took a long time for my kids to get bingo and of course, that meant that the book they wanted was gone when they got to the table. They did get a good book though and it got Madison started on a new series of books that were a little longer and more challenging! It all turned out good!

This was just before the bingo started!

She ate most of the time! I played her bingo card for her while she munched on cheetos!

My beautiful Kenzie. She got another Magic Tree House book for her free book. She's addicted to the Magic Tree House books.

Mayci got an Eric Carle book and the boys got books they haven't even heard of before. It was a fun night and the kids were so excited about their new books. I was excited about the chocolate milk they had. I'm sure we'll end up at more school functions before the year is over.
