January 1, 2011

We celebrated big on January 1st!

There were plenty of kids around for all out fun. The best part of the day was that there was over 2 feet of snow in Bear Lake. We had plenty of snow to keep the kids busy. The parents were pretty sure that the kids wouldn't last very long outside. When we showed up to Bear Lake that morning (at 8am) it was just over 0 degrees. By 10 am it had warmed up to 9 degrees. It then hung out in the 9-11 degree range all day long.

That didn't deter these cute kids!!
Grandpa and Uncle Tyler. Thanks to Tyler plowing out the driveway, the piles of snow were much bigger for the kids to jump off.

Kenzie, Braylynn, Haydee, Madison and Austin taking their turn on the sleds.
Justin with 2 cute girls, Tyla and Mayci.

What a guy!! I'm kinda in love with him ;-)

After some lunch and some time warming up, we all went out to shoot some guns. Even the girls shot the 22's. It was too cold for them to stand around and watch us though.
Grandma got a few pointers while she shot and had fun shooting at the clay pigeons.
Madison and Kenzie hung out in the truck and even got out at one point. I thought this was a pretty funny sight. The girls didn't have earplugs in and I think it was kind of loud for them.
Bridget was a pro at shooting! Even had the right stance and everything!!!
Braydon waiting for the clays to come out.
Austin trying to get one of the 2 clays that were thrown.
After spending most of the day outside, the men decided to clean all of their guns. I think they spent more time watching the football game than they did cleaning. They were pretty zoned out at times!
Even Braydon was into the game.
Of course, the girls enjoyed some time playing together downstairs with all of the toys and anything else they could find.
We went home tired that night but it was worth it! We love spending time with family. Can't wait for the next full day of fun!!
