Special Night

So, I think we did this last year around this same time. Only with our older daughter.

McKenzie will be baptized this fall. She was very anxious to go to the baptism preview that our stake did on January 9. We got to visit with our Bishop for a few minutes and even have a tour of the font and the dressing rooms where she will be baptized.

After the preview, they had a special cookie for each of the baptismal candidites. Kenzie, being the sweetie that she is, wanted to wait and eat hers at home. Then she could share with everyone else.
The only concerns she had for her baptism were how to hold her hands when she was baptized and if she had to sing 'I am a Child of God' all by herself (it was announced that they needed to make sure they knew that song because they were to sing it on the day of their baptisms.) I assured her that both of those were easy concerns to remedy and we'd work on that for the next 8 months.

Until September, we'll just enjoy this precious Child of God! Thanks for sharing a special night with us Kenzie!
