Thanksgiving Pow Wow

Kenzie's class had a fun little Pow Wow just before Thanksgiving break. Austin, Mayci and I went and helped out with the Pow Wow and had a great time.
The kids all made their vests, headbands and drums. Their teacher taught them a fun little rhythym on their drums and then taught them a war dance song. The war dance was for snow and a funny little thing happened. It snowed! ALOT that weekend!!!!!
We came up with lots of fun songs to sing and played a few games. We served up some turkey, apples, pumpkin pie, carrots, celery and cornbread. We had played a few games with cranberries and after playing the games, the kids asked if they could eat them. We told them they could try one and most of the kids immediately spit theirs in the garbage.

What fun memories for Kenzie!
