Watering the Yard

Our neighbors are lucky enough to irrigate their lawn every week or so. That's how they water their lawn and my kids think it is pretty cool. We were lucky enought to be invited to our neighbors house while they were watering their lawn! The water was COLD but oh so nice after spending about 1 1/2 hours weeding a garden in the hot weather.

We were only over there for about 5 minutes and the kids decided that it would be fun to get our big slip-n-slide/billboard sign and put it on the yard.

We did.
That was interesting!
The kids had a blast!
It was more like a great big floating thing. We had to get big rocks from the yard and put on the corners and sides of the slip-n-slide to keep it in place. The water was up to our shins and our feet were pretty icy cold after getting the slide situated!

They each took turns pushing and pulling each other on a snow sled. Crazy kids!

Mayci wasn't very excited about getting wet. It was too cold for her likings. She did finally let us put her down in the water and she stood there for a bit. That was about all she managed to do that day.

Hopefully we'll be able to use our slide a few more times this summer! Oh, and help water a neighbors lawn again soon!
