Week in Utah Part 1

What a fun week we had last week! We got to head down to Utah for the weekend to spend time together with the Brower's, again. This time it was to have some quality time with Uncle Chris before he leaves on his mission. He was scheduled to leave for the Brazil MTC on June 29, reporting on June 30. He got a call during the week before his farewell saying that his visa isn't available yet and he is to report to the Prove MTC on July 7. He was pretty bummed about that but we were excited to hear we got to spend a few more days with him.

Saturday morning, Chris, Tiff, Aaron, Justin and I went to the SLC Temple for a session. That was pretty neat! We were all a little tired but still had a great time. We then all headed up to Willard Bay to play for the day. The sun was out in full force. Uncle Matt and Aunt Nat got some wave runners for us to all use. We spent most of the afternoon playing in the water. We made it back to Tremonton for dinner around 6 pm or so.

After dinner, we ran through the songs we were singing for the farewell. Then everyone got showers and we all crashed pretty early in our beds. I think we wore everyone out pretty good that first day!

Sunday was Chris' farewell. He did such a great job with his talk. It was on honoring thy father and thy mother. He did good at getting the younger kids to listen to his talk as well as the adults. The chapel and gym were filled to capacity! (Even the High Councilman that spoke with him did a great job!) The whole family sang a song "If the Savior Stood Beside Me" and then the kids/siblings sang "Olive Tree". Both songs turned out really good and none of us cried! Very impressive.

We had a great lunch of sloppy joes and salads afterwards. We counted about 100 people at the house for dinner. Christopher is loved by many!!! He will be an amazing missionary!

We spent some time playing card games and visiting. We even got a few family pictures taken. They will be the last ones with the entire family for 2 years. We all can't wait to hear how well Chris does in Brazil and how much the people in Brazil will love him.

Here are a few pictures from Willard Bay.
Kaylee and Mayci, chillin' in the shade.
Mayci wasn't so sure about the water. She did go out on the wave runner with Justin and me though.
Justin got in some fun time with the kids out in the water. I just enjoyed the sun and a good book!
Isn't this little girl just so stinkin' cute??? Her parents love the water and they've already gotten her loving the water. Hallie is going to be fearless when it comes to water!

Braydon spent quite some time on this raft!

It seems like we are always taking pictures! What silly moms we are!

Austin couldn't do much playing in the water. He spent most of his time playing in the sand and building sand castles with the kids! Kind of a bummer that he had to have a broken arm for the summer. He still has a great attitude about it though. What a trooper!

Looks like you had so much fun.
I thought I might share with you the bargain I just found. Blurb.com is the website I use to make my blog into books each year. I found a discount through another website that gives you $34.95 off any book you make before 8-31-10. I just ordered my book that was $50 last year for $6.99. You just use the promo code BLOG2010. Anyway, if you're interested or have questions. let me know.
