Our Sunday Mornings

Our Sunday mornings are pretty relaxing lately since church doesn't start until 1 pm. Since the boys started piano in January, they have become so interested in the piano. That has impressed Justin very much because he doesn't remember fighting over getting to practice/ play the piano. The boys have figured out most of the notes and they've started to play Primary songs. Right now it's only the right hand and they've attempted the left hand with some of the songs. Either Braydon or Austin will take the time to right the names of the notes in the songs and then they'll play it for awhile. Austin has started getting songs with flats and sharps and so we're learing very quickly this whole piano thing. They love to play the piano in passing or whenever they've gotten homework done. Both boys get up in the morning before mom and dad, get ready for school and get their piano practicing in and still have at least 1/2 hr. left before school. I don't even have to bribe them to play! They're great boys. They are also very good at chess. They're trying to teach the girls how to play. Last Sunday was so funny to watch the girls try and play with Braydon. The girls like to knock down their opponents pieces and that's excitement to them. Other than that, they aren't quite sure about the game of Chess. (they get that from their mom!) Austin is still our big reader. He read the book "Eragon" and is working on the 2nd book- "Eldest". They are about 400-600 pgs. long. That's what our Sunday mornings consist of lately! It's fun to see my kids old enough to do all these cool and kinda big kid things!
