Nothing compares to a scout

Austin and Chase working on getting the flag down!

They both did a great job folding the flag up. They acted like they had been doing it for years!

Chase trying to get the flag hooked back up so they could hoist it back up.

Getting the library flag back on the pole. It didn't take them very long to get this done!

I just love to see my boys in their scout uniforms. Last week Austin and another boy from his Webelos den went to the library to lower the flag from the pole, fold it and then raise it again. It was one of their requirements for their Webelos badge. The other boy had just that one last thing to do to finish up his Webelos. We had talked about arranging the same thing for Austin to do so that he could get closer to getting his Webelos badge done. We were glad that this other boy had called and asked Austin to help. That made our job lots easier! Austin and Braydon both are almost all done with their requirements to get their badges. I told them that they should work on it hard during the summer and get their badges before summer is over. Then we won't have to worry about it during the school year! We'll see! The boys love scouts and I don't have to push them to get it done! They also have great leaders! For those with boys, scouts is so great for them. It helps them learn some responsibility along with some other great skills. It's a great program!
