Trapped!!

In Kindergarten the past week, they've had some problems with Leprechauns making a mess of their room at school. Kenzie has come home and told me all about these little buggers that keep pulling stuff out of cubbies, coloring on the desks and all the other terrible things that shouldn't be done in Kindergarten. The kids have written notes to the Leprechauns and it still hasn't solved the problem. A request was made by their teacher to come up with a trap to get the culprits who keep messing up the school. It was to be a family project and Kenzie spent the week telling us what would work to catch them. They like shiny stuff and money. They are very greedy too! This is what we came up with for a trap:
A Mason jar with shiny rocks and MONEY! Dad cut a hole in the lid so when the Leprechaun put his hand in the jar to get the money, his hand would get stuck in the jar. Once he has a hold of his money, he won't let go and the rocks weigh the jar down so he can't get away! Brilliant!
Kenzie was pretty excited about how it turned out! We even hot glued the money to the rocks so his hand REALLY won't come out!

Isn't Kindergarten life just so exciting? Reports tomorrow of how many traps actually worked will be posted here. Kenzie is pretty positive that her trap should win her a Leprechaun to give to Mayci for her birthday! The only problem she hasn't thought of: who's going to clean up the messes at our house after the Leprechaun makes its way through our house? Hmmmm!
