One of the families brought this fun flower to float on and the kids thought it was great!

Here's the explorers! They thought they were pretty neat! I think they are right!
They found quite a few cool boy things! They even said that they heard some rattlesnakes in a bush over there! I don't doubt that! Oh, to be young and enjoy the simple things in life like floating across a river and getting to explore without and adult right by your side!
We found the funnest place to spend our summer! It's just north of our house about 15 miles and we only have to pay $4 a carload to get in! So, we've been a few times the last 3 weeks! This past Thursday I had invited a bunch of families from our ward to go with us! We had about 9 families with us which added up to a bunch of kids! They all had so much fun! My boys got rallied up with all the other boys and they constructed a 'raft'. They tied a bunch of rafts together and then paddled across the river/lake to the other side where there are trails. They then ventured off to explore their new found world! Let's just say that it was a good 'boy' thing for them to do! I love to see how little minds work! We usually make it there by lunch time and eat there and have snacks during the rest of the day! Then we all make it home for dinnertime! They even have a park for the kids to play on if the water gets boring (yeah right! Water, boring?)

its brooke whiting:) i have heard about about this eagle island park. i will have to go try it out sometime. it looks like alot of fun:) your kids are so cute. i love the pictures of them picking the peas:)
That is so cool you guys do so much fun and find cheap ways to do it. You need to teach me.
